Fun run draws in crowds

They were given their starters orders from BBC WM presenter Joanne Malin at Arden School, Station Road.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Warwickshire & Northants Air Ambulance, Stroke Association, Dorridge & Knowle Scouts and other local charities.

While rain fell shortly during the 11am juniors’ run, the overcast weather kept dry for the remainder of the event, organised by Knowle and Dorridge Lions.

Runners included two “smurfs” painted blue and a “gorilla” carrying a boy in a cage, for Troop Aid.
