The Dorridge Fun Run is expected to attract 1,200 people on Sunday June 26.

Runners, walkers and cyclists are welcomed for the eight or three mile route through the Warwickshire countryside, on closed roads.

Solihull entertainer Malcolm Stent will start the cyclists at 10.15am and runners at 10.30am from St. Philips Church Centre in Manor Road

The route goes through Darley Green, Packwood, Chessetts Wood and Bakers Lane to the church.

All who finish will receive a medal and there are prizes for best fancy dress, the youngest and oldest finishers and the fastest male and female runners (eight miles).

The event, in its seventh year, has raised more than £22,000 for charity and will this year give sponsorship cash to Troop Aid and Edwards Trust.

The trust was established in 1989 after the cancer death of Edward Dent, from Knowle.

People can enter online here for £10 (children £5) or on the day for £15 (children £8).
