A planning application has been submitted to 12 rows of 20 panels in a farmers’ field to the back of Four Ashes House, Four Ashes Road.

It said wind turbines are not possible due to their “visual impact” while ground source heat mums are not financially viable.

The application says the plan would have “no impact upon the landscape character or countryside generally” and is supported by national and local council planning policies.

The panels would only be visible from the south from a distance, it says.

Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council will make a final decision on the plan.
