West Midlands Police said: “The man entered Natwest on High Street, Knowle at around 3pm on Friday 8 June. He showed the cashier an empty holdall but fled after a panic alarm was pressed.
“Just over an hour later at 4.15pm it is believed the man visited Nationwide on Stratford Road in Shirley. A cashier handed over an amount of cash after the man made threats, saying he had a gun.”
He is described as black, 5ft6ins to 5ft10ins, slim, aged about 30 and wearing a dark coloured beanie hat and a heavy duty high-visibility jacket with the hood up.
