So let me understand this - When folk who wish to take over or change the use of land illegally; which can result in many hundred thousand pounds of public money (if not millions) to be spent in their attempts to twist or thwart the law are OK but a council elected to represent the local people, who in turn support the community through their rates and taxes, are acting illegally according to this. Thus it appears that residents of areas threatened are denied any financial support. Seems topsy turvy to me.

  2. Get your facts right Private Eye, the money was used to fund a site survey on a green piece of land that had a fuel pipeline running through it to feed the airport. Any development on Green Belt will be strongly opposed by the village!
