Nine in ten Arden pupils hit GCSE score

NINE in ten pupils got five or more good GCSEs at Arden school last year, figures released today show.

Department for Education figures show 90 per cent of the Knowle academy’s pupils got at least five GCSEs including English and Maths.

This was 91 per cent in 2011 and 92 per cent in 2010. The English average is 59.4 per cent.

It means Tudor Grange Academy was last year the best performing state school in the borough, with 94 per cent, a title Arden held since 2010.

The figures show five pupils were classed as low attainers, with 94 classed middle attainers and 139 high attainers.

Of those classed as disadvantaged pupils, 78 per cent got at least five GCSEs including English and Maths.
