MP Spelman opens petrol station

MERIDEN MP Caroline Spelman cut the ribbon to open Sainsbury’s petrol station in Grange Road, Dorridge on Friday.

She was joined by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council Dorridge & Hockley Heath ward members Ian Courts and Ken Meeson and Peter Heywood from Dorridge Fun Run.

Also in attendance was Simon Thomas of youth charity Challenge Adventure Group, to whom Sainsbury’s has donated two kayaks.

The garage was run by Total but closed last year.

  1. The garage was run by Total but closed, prematurely, by Sainsbury's last year.

    Nice attempt to appear as good guys but not successful.

  5. Some people seem to prefer the previous inner city type scruffy service station . Perhaps they are homesick for their previous life ?
