The Knowle Society wants to draw up a Neighbourhood Plan document setting out what developments like housing residents want.

The plans – created under the 2011 Localism Act – must be considered when members of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council make planning decisions.

The plans only come into affect through support in a public referendum.

The society is to hold a meeting to launch a forum to lead the development of the plan.

  1. I think a Neighbourhood plan is a brilliant idea and will give the people of Knowle more of a say in future development. Unfortunately it is too late for developments which are already happening. The people who live in Knowle have an absolute right to have a say in what is happening on their doorstep and to try and prevent unnecessary building works and developers completely taking over the area.
