A West Midlands Ambulance Service boss will speak at theevent at Bentley Heath Community Hall, Widney Road on Thursday June 12 from 5.30pm to 7pm.

The service has sold ambulance stations like Solihull in favour of 15 West Midlands “hub” bases and ambulances based in the community.

This includes a base in the Knowle area though a bid to base one at Arden school was dropped last year.

The event has been organised by Healthwatch Solihull – the official health and social care watchdog to give “an accurate update about the restructuring of the ambulance services affecting these local areas”.

Solihull area manager for the ambulance service Dean Jenkins will speak at the event.
