Cyclists and runners enjoy fun run

RUNNERS and cyclists turned out for the 10th annual Dorridge Fun Run today.

They took on a three or eight-mile countryside course from St. Philip’s Church Centre in Manor Road, which also held a summer fair.

It is expected to raise £35,000 for charity, taking total raised over the last decade to more than £230,000.

Mayor of Solihull Kate Wild saw the cyclists off at 10.15am and the runners at 10.30am.


The event included a barbecue, live music and stalls and raised funds for Muscular Dystrophy, Reachout Network Ministries, Solihull Children's Special Needs Association, Girl Guiding, CAG (Challenge Adventure Group) and Ward 19 cancer charity.
