Ros Ashe of Moseley C of E Primary School will take over in January, replacing Glen Duggan.

A letter from chairman of governors Paul Hughes said: “I am very pleased to be able to advise you that after a very rigorous selection and interview process we were able to appoint a new Head Teacher on Thursday 3rd July.

“Mrs Ashe will take over as Head Teacher from the beginning of January 2015 but will be able to have a significant input during the autumn term following the amalgamation of the two schools which will take effect from the beginning of September when we will be known as Dorridge Primary School.

“Mrs Ashe is currently a Head Teacher of an outstanding school in Birmingham and we are looking forward to working with her.”
