Moped rider killed in Bentley Heath named

A MOPED rider who killed in a collision with a car in Four Ashes Road, Bentley Health last week has been named as Kristian Murray, 32.

West Midlands Police said the man was from the area and was on his way to work when he was killed just before 7am last Wednesday.

The force said: “Kristian, 32, who was driving the motorcycle, was treated by the ambulance service but despite their best efforts he unfortunately died at the scene.

“Specialist officers from the collision investigation unit (CIU) continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision and are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.”

Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the CIU, said: "Kristian used this route every day to travel to work and I am appealing to anyone who may have seen him on his black scooter that day to call me or one of my team.

"We continue to investigate the circumstances around the collision and the driver was spoken to at the scene.

"Specialist officers continue to liaise with the family at this tragic time."
