Weather hits fun run entries

KNOWLE Fun Run entries are down so far this year because of the cold weather, ogranisers have said.

Yet they hope warmer temperatures and a new offer of a free mug for entrants will boost entries for the Sunday May 12 event, the 30th in its history.

Nick Owen to start Knowle Fun Run

MIDLAND Today host Nick Owen will fire the starting pistol at this year's Knowle Fun Run, it has been announced.

The BBC presenter will be joined by Solihull resident and Team GB Hockey player Sally Walton at the May 12 event, to begin at Arden School.

The event celebrates its 30th birthday this year and will raise cash for good causes including the Marie Curie Big Build appeal for Solihull's new hospice and AgeUK Solihull.
