Speed hump work begins in Knowle

ROADWORKS today began to install a road hump outside Arden School, closing Station Road.



The hump will be installed on the pedestrian crossing outside the school during a closure expected to last to Monday April 12.

Only residents will be allowed into Station Road from its junction with Widney Road to St Lawrence Close.

The junction from St Lawrence to Lodge Road will be fully closed. See a map of the closures here and see the official order here.

Station Road closure for Knowle speed hump

STATION Road in Knowle will be closed for a week next month so a traffic hump can be installed by Arden School – but a speed limit cut is on hold.

The hump will be installed on the pedestrian crossing outside the school during a closure from Tuesday April 6 to Monday April 12.

Only residents will be allowed into Station Road from its junction with Widney Road to St Lawrence Close.

Raised crossing for Knowle cut-through

A RAISED pedestrian crossing will be installed in Lodge Road, Knowle later this month.

The road will be part closed from Monday February 22 to Friday February 26 from Station Road to its junction with St Johns Close.

Most residents, 77 per cent, supported the scheme in a consultation by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.

It will be placed by the exit of Knowle Park to an alley leading to the village centre. A report says this will benefit children and the elderly who want to cross the road.
