The move is part of plans to make walking to school safer. This included controversial plans for cycle lanes in Knowle Park, which were later dropped.
The council said there was a ‘high level of support’ for the hump, known as a toucan crossing.
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council has already agreed to have a 20mph limit between 8am and 9am and 3pm and 4pm on school days. It is 30mph at present.
A raised table at the junction of Lodge Road and Station Road has been installed by the council with another in Lodge Road, by the park.
