Commons expenses boss was "soft" on Spelman

THE former boss of the Commons expenses watchdog who this week quit for spending taxpayers’ money on a home where he entertained his mistress was “soft” on Meriden MP Caroline Spelman, who paid her nanny from the public purse, The Daily Telegraph reports.
