The guns – which disable people with an electric current – will be available 24/7 in the borough by May, West Midlands Police said.
A WMP report says: “On average taser is being used just over twice a week in each borough with very positive feedback from officers and the public.
“To date there have been no complaints about its use and there is no doubt it is successfully providing additional protection for our officers.”
