POLICE checks are to be set up after complaints about speeding in Knowle.Officers will carry out ‘speed enforcement operations’ in Tilehouse Green Lane, Kenilworth Road, Warwick Road and Station Road, right.
The Tilehouse Green Lane Neighbourhood Watch Group and Residents Action Group raised concerns.

West Midlands Police said: “This seems to be a general consistent problem with no specific days or times of concern.”
The force suggested the residents’ action group speak to Knowle Society about forming a ‘community speed watch scheme’, where residents record speeds with electronic guns.
It said: “We also plan to visit the pupils at Arden School, the next generation of motorists, to educate them about the dangers of speeding. We will review this priority in April.”
A raised table was recently installed at the junction of Station Road and Lodge Road and a speed hump was put at the exit of the park in Lodge Road.
Station Road will be closed a week today to allow a speed hump to be installed on the crossing outside the Station Road school.
Meanwhile, a ‘canal watch’ scheme is to be set up to keep boat owners in touch with police after thefts.
