MOURNERS yesterday paid tribute to a Dorridge school bus driver who was killed in a road accident.

David Franklin was killed when the bus he was driving was in collision with another car between Hatton and Hatton Park in Warwickshire last Tuesday.
A service was held at Robin Hood Cemetery and Crematorium yesterday afternoon. Many had to stand outside such was the number of mourners.
Mr Franklin drove the lead timing car at the Knowle Fun Run two days before his death.
Friend and fun run organiser Dave Carter said: “It was packed. We stood outside.
“The numerous tributes to Dave were illustrative of someone who was appreciated by all those whose lives he touched.”
The driver of the car, Chander Virdi, 60, from Leamington Spa, was also killed.
The bus was carrying 21 pupils from Myton School and Aylesford School in Warwick. One was airlifted to hospital.
Mr Franklin worked for Johnsons Coach and Bus Travel in Henley-in-Arden.
Company director Peter Johnson said: “He was a highly regarded member of our team who was always willing to help us out, as requested on all types of coach and bus driving work.”
