AN inspector who raised safety fears about a Knowle nursery said satisfactory action has been taken.Oftsed said it received information on April 28 about Lady K Care and Play in Fen End Road.

It said at the time: “We carried out an unannounced visit to the setting and found that the provider had not made adequate arrangements to ensure the security of the outdoor play area.
“We also identified that some electric socket covers were unprotected and nettles were growing in the garden. We sent the provider a notice to improve that asked them to.”
The play group, which is based at Lady Katherine Leveson School, above, right, was told to provide gates with self-closing mechanisms.
It was also told to ‘take all reasonable steps to protect the children from hazards such as electric sockets and nettles in the garden’.
Ofsted said this week: “The provider responded satisfactorily to the notice.”
