Attractions include a barbecue, tea tent and arena including bell dancing, duck herding and demonstrations from scouts and dance groups.

Youngsters can enjoy a climbing wall, bungee trampoline, bouncy castle, hook-a-duck, donkeys and shooting gallery.

Organisers said they are also meeting demand for more craft stalls. A football tournament will also take place throughout the day.

All proceeds will go to The Friends of Knowle Park to make improvements.

Spokesman Sue Owen said: “A special thanks to the many local Knowle traders who continue to support us, especially in these difficult financial times.

“Money raised so far has provided the new path, trim trail, bat and bird boxes, bridge into the nature reserve and this years very welcome improvements to the play area including the zip wire - which hardly ever seems to be out of action.”
