Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council paid £3,180 to move caravans from Monkspath Hall Road, Solihull and land by Langfield Road, Knowle.
The gypsies left pending the threat of court action on July 23 – and immediately went to Langfield Road. They left the next day.
Trenches were dug across both sites after they left.
The council disclosed to The Silhillian under the Freedom of Information Act that the caravans at Monkspath Hall Road, in Hillfield Park, cost £1,400.
This was £600 to remove rubbish and £800 for ‘additional security measures to deter future issues’ at the park (below).
This was £480 and £1,300 respectively at the Knowle site, by the roundabout by the junction with Wychwood Avenue.
