In a letter to customers the bank said the branch was under used because of telephone and internet banking and would close on November 19 at 3pm.
Accounts will be automatically moved to the branch in Poplar Road, Solihull, it says.

The letter states: “At HSBC were are constantly evolving and developing our services to help you do your banking at a time and pace that suits you.
“And with the growth of telephone and internet banking in recent years, this is now easier than ever which has naturally resulted in some branches being used less often.”
It states: “Therefore after careful consideration we have taken the difficult decision to close our branch at Station Approach.
“But don’t worry. As of this date, all accounts held at Dorridge branch will be automatically transferred to the HSBC branch at 34 Poplar Road, Solihull.”
The letter, from retail branch manager Sally A Williams, says: “On a personal note, I’d like to apologise for any inconvenience the move may cause you, but I’m confident that the Solihull branch will provide you with the service you expect.”
It says: “We believe your new branch will offer you a first class service.”
Account and sort codes will not change and there will be no charge, it states.
