The standard adult swim will rise from £3.65 to £3.90 under the changes, to take effect from January 1.
This will rise from £3 to £3.20 in Chelmsley Wood, also run by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
The average increase across all charges, including the pool, sports hall, gym and track, is 6.7 per cent.
Monthly gym membership is frozen at £38. Yet council staff membership will rise 18.6 per cent from £25.30 to £30.
Charges are lower at Chelmsley Wood ‘to promote the Council’s objectives to address health inequalities’ an SMBC report said.
It said: “Participation rates in sport and physical activity still lower in the north of the borough than in the south.”
Frozen charges include those for the unemployed and those referred by their GP for exercise programmes.
