The outlet would have more than 50 seats inside and seating outside on the pavement in High Street. This would be about two metres deep.

It said the pavement is “particularly wide” and will not have any “detrimental impact” on pedestrians.

It would have three tables and eight chairs and these would be removed at the end of the day.

The shop would open from 7am to 7pm most days but the firm wants the option to open as late as 10pm.

It said the stores are “one of the main social hubs on the High Street” and would see shoppers stay longer in the village.

The company has submitted a planning application to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, which will have the final say on the plans.
