Figures show 92 per cent of pupils for five or more GCSEs grades A* to C including English and Maths, compared to 84 per cent in 2009.
This saw the Knowle school overtake Solihull's Tudor Grange school to become the top performing Solihull secondary. Tudor Grange fell from 91 to 86 per cent.
And Arden is ranked 14 out of 2,813 comprehensives in England.
The national average rose 3.6 per cent to 53.4 per cent.
The school’s first ever A-level results were also well above the national average, 855.8 points per student compared to 732.9.
The £4.2m building opened in 2008.
Headteacher Ann Green told The Birmingham Mail: “When we’ve not had a great deal of experience delivering A-Levels you always hope the achievements the school has delivered in the past will carry on through.
“But when you have not done it before it can worrying, so we’re very pleased with those results.”
She said: “What Arden is demonstrating is that actually it can be of benefit to come from a comprehensive school because when you do well universities look on this very favourably.”
