Rubbish was piled around recycling containers and hundreds of bottles and cans were left outside the bottle banks.
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is responsible for the collection.
Household waste collections were also delayed because of the snow and resumed this week.
The council said: “If you have extra waste which does not fit into your wheelie bin or purple sacks, please leave it securely tied next to your bin or sacks.
“Green and black boxes and white sacks for recycling are not being collected this week.
“This is due to the recycling teams being used to clear the backlog of suspended services for domestic waste last week. Collections will resume from Monday 3 January.”
