James Turner, who police said is a “practised vehicle crime offender and locker thief”, is also banned from Solihull.

It is a part of a Criminal Anti Social Behaviour Order (CRASBO) handed down by Solihull Magistrates Court. It will expire on February 23 2013.

The 33-year-old recently completed a eight month prison spell.

PC Laura Guy said: "This CRASBO is designed to protect Solihull residents from a prolific thief as well as to help James Turner move away from his offending pattern and make a fresh start after his prison release.

“If residents see him in Solihull I would encourage them to call us." Police are urging anyone who sees James Turner in Solihull to contact them on 0345 113 5000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
