USERS of the iPhone and iPod touch can now get an app about Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council services.

The Big Local App Solihull has information about services such as waste and recycling and councillors.
The free app also includes a directory of more than 1,000 borough businesses.
Mayor of Solihull and iPhone user Councillor Ian Courts said: “The council is always looking for new ways of making information available to residents, and this free app is ideal as it gives you the chance to have information about both the Council and the wider borough in your pocket.”
The app is available from the iTunes store and the authority said it will be available for Android users soon.
It said it had not paid for the app.
