opened at the building used until September by Tommy Nursery School Warwick Road
That nursery shut because
owners said it did not have enough available staff and business had been hit by
its “inadequate” Ofsted rating.
The new nursery is under new
management and ownership and has been refurbished.
Tommys was rated inadequate –
the worst possible rating – by education inspectorate Ofsted in February,
compared to good in 2011.
Ofsted said activities are “limited”,
staff have a “poor awareness” of learning, some children who are “upset, play
alone and do not learn effectively”.
The nursery said some parents
left before the results of a September 25 re-inspection was published.
When published in November, this praised improvements and moved its overall rating to “satisfactory”.
