The family of Alan Cummings donated three flag poles,
granite plinth and flags to mark 50 years since his death in 1963 aged 40.
He was Arden ’s
first deputy headmaster from 1959 to 1963.
A statement from the school said: “As last year was the
fiftieth anniversary of his passing his family were keen to commemorate his
service to the school.
“However we are saddened to report that during the weekend it
would appear someone came on site, cut the cords and stole the three specially
commissioned Arden flags.
