The Solihull and Meriden Residents Association will meet at the Royal British Legion, Warwick Road on Wednesday at 7.30pm.
West Midlands MEP Nikki Sinclaire will be the guest speaker.
She was recently expelled from the UK Independence Party because of a row over its affiliation with what she said was ‘extremist groups’.
The group – whose slogan is ‘putting local people first’ – will fight all 17 seats at the May 6 election at Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
The Silhillian reported yesterday that the group has pledged to fight on ‘real issues’.
The poster for the meeting pledges ‘local services for local people’; ‘Solihull jobs for Solihull people’; ‘local healthcare’; ‘protecting local services’; ‘Protecting our rural communities and
the Greenbelt’.
