ARDEN School in Knowle and Tudor Grange School in Solihull want to leave council control and become academies.

They could have the status by September if approved by the Government.
They are included on a list of UK schools released by The Department of Education today for schools that have expressed an interest in getting the status.
Academies are publicly funded by have freedom from local authority control and can opt out of following the National Curriculum.
They can also set staff pay and conditions and change term and school day times.
Only poor performing schools could get the status under Labour, which introduced the reforms.
But the new coalition Government has said only schools rated ‘outstanding’ by education inspectors Ofsted can become academies from September.
Lord Hill, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Schools said: “I am delighted that so many schools have expressed an interest, and that over 900 outstanding schools are interested in becoming academies.”
He said: “We want schools to decide what's best for them, not politicians or bureaucrats.”
Schools not rated outstanding can register an interest later in the year. This includes St Peter's Catholic School and Specialist Science College.
