CALLS for a cycle lane along Widney Manor Road between Dorridge and Solihull are to be looked into.Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council will investigate the lane for the road, which runs from the roundabout by Widney Manor Cemetery into the town.

A ‘review of cycling facilities’ in Dorridge will also be carried out.
The pledge is included in a council plan for priorities for the village, broadly listed as providing activities for young people, roads and the environment.
This pledges to ‘address school parking issues’ and ‘increase patrols at problematic times and ticket obstructions accordingly’.
It also says speeding on Station Road will be tackled.

• £2,000 for youth projects at St Phillip’s Church in Manor Road.
• Talk to residents about where cash contributed by developers should be spent on the environment.
