Age Concern and Help The Aged have merged into Age UK and the Solihull branch will launch in the shopping centre from Monday (Nov 8) to Sunday.
Director Brian Bennett said: “We will be offering free information services, a number of activities and a strong appeal for volunteers and supporters.”
He said: “The whole issue of the older generation is a key issue both locally and nationally.
“In the coming year we will be confronting a number of major challenges.
“Solihull has the highest percentage of older people in the West Midlands.”
He said Government spending cuts, the raising of the retirement age and new rules which let OAPs and not councils decide where care cash is spent, will have an impact.
