Housing bid for closed Knowle DIY shop

A BID will be made to convert a closed Knowle DIY store into housing, The Knowle Society has reported.

It said a planning application will be made to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council for the former Knowle Decorating & Building Supplies Ltd in Kenilworth Road.

The store closed last month after more than three decades in the village. The company has been declared insolvent.

The council will make the final decision on whether the planning application will be approved.
