The Dorridge Residents Opposed to Village Superstore Group relaunched the site after Sainsbury’s put forward a second plan for Forest Court.

A larger scheme was rejected by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council in March.
The group said it welcomes a redevelopment of the 1960s Forest Court but is unhappy with the new store, about 25 per cent smaller than the rejected scheme.
It brands the plan “an oversized development which would have a serious impact on our traffic, our safety and our environment”.
The group pledged “to protect and preserve the character of Dorridge while accepting the real need for a store and independent shops at the heart of the village”.
Its website says: “The village centre is relatively quiet and Sainsbury’s plans when implemented will result in a deterioration especially early in the morning, late in the evening and throughout the day on Sundays.
“The main source of noise will be the traffic associated with a new food store particularly the delivery lorries and their associated loading and unloading. Even the smallest of Sainsbury’s stores will result in an increase in noise.”
Air quality will also be hit and businesses will struggle to compete, it says. The new development would have six other units and a restaurant.
The group also asks whether the development would impact on crime, anti-social behaviour, litter and parking.
It adds: “Hindsight is a great thing but we now know that Forest Court was a failure and the decision to develop such a centre a mistake.”
