Wedding street parties announced

SOLIHULL, Knowle and Dorridge residents have shown their Royal credentials by applying to hold more wedding street parties than all of Birmingham.

Some 13 applications have been made in the town and villages compared to 12 across the Birmingham City Council area.

Road closures will be in effect on April 28 and 29, from 9am, at the following streets, which are holding private parties:

* Abbots Close, Knowle (fronting Nos 35-47)

* Arden Road, Dorridge and Hockley Heath (from its junction with Arden Drive for the remainder of its length)

* Arden Vale Road, Knowle (the length of service road fronting Nos 10-38)

* Claverdon Close, St Alphege

* Copstone Drive, Dorridge and Hockley Heath

* Culverley Crescent, Dorridge and Hockley Heath

* Elbury Croft, Dorridge and Hockley Heath

* Field Way, Dorridge and Hockley Heath

* Hartington Close, Dorridge and Hockley Heath

* Hartwell Close, St Alphege

* Lightwood Close, Knowle

* Moorfield Avenue, Dorridge and Hockley Heath (from its junction with Culverley Crescent)

* Witley Avenue, St Alphege
