Fun Run raised a record £46,000 for charity, it has been announced.

The May event includes £36,600
for Solihull hospice appeal Marie Curie Big Build, AgeUK Solihull
and St Basil’s youth homeless charity. The rest goes to local causes.

Lions Club handed over the cash at an event for sponsors at Knowle’s Greswolde
Hotel.
A Christmas walk from
Baddesley Clinton that attracted more than 1,000 people raised £6,000 for the
charities.
A July bike ride also raised
£8,000 for the British Heart Foundation, which Lions raised more than £76,000
for in the last year.
Lions President Noel Kinahan
said: “The 30th Knowle Fun Run smashed all records raising over £46,000 for
charity with superb support from sponsors and advertisers alike.”
The next festive walk and
fund run will raise cash for The Brain Tumour Charity, homeless charity Vision
Care and Warwick Northleigh House School
