Wild said: “We know from the results of our regular customer satisfaction
surveys that there has been a general decline in the use of mini recycling
centres over the past four years.
“This has also coincided with the improvements we have made
to our kerbside recycling service.
“The sites that are closing have been chosen based on how
often they are used, how much recyclable material we collect from them and the
cost to taxpayers to manage the sites and remove fly-tipping.”
