Community centre refurbishment plans

WORK has begun to refurbish Bentley Heath Community Centre.

Funds are being raised for the five-year project at the Widney Road centre, at Bentley Heath park.

Sainsbury’s – which is currently working on a store plan for Forest Court – has already helped out and its contractors have partially refitted the kitchen and store room. 

The flat roof over the store room and one end of the kitchen has been replaced as an emergency.

It is to get new fire doors, electrics, suspended ceiling, windows, radiators, kitchen and storage unit.

The suspended ceiling will be replaced and the toilets and wooden floor refurbished.
