It said the
£2,079,000 “should be viewed in the context of the significant ongoing savings
that the council is delivering” which in that financial year saw it achieve a £7.2m
savings target.
The job reductions included the closure of Coombes House care
home, Solihull Lodge with the loss of 16 jobs and 34 “resulting from minor restructures
across a number of service areas”.
